Trying to get caught up!

Oh Look! I am finally posting pictures from the month of June and it's almost July. Ezekiel has changed so much these last few weeks, laughing and chattering away, we are loving our happy little boy! We took him to his 2 month check-up about two weeks ago and he weighed in at 11 lbs. 7 oz. and was 23 inches long. It's amazing how fast they grow, and I can hardly believe he is almost 3 months old! Where does the time go?!

Our little mister

As you can tell by the dates on these pictures, I am a month behind on blogging--oops! We are really enjoying our little guy! He is such a good-natured baby, very sweet, and a happy little boy. We are so thankful for this amazing gift we have been given!

Summer Wedding

This picture is of Silas and his buddy Ryan--not a great picture I know, b/c they are both squinting in the sun, however, Ryan is getting married this summer. The significance of this picture? Silas is going to be the ring-bearer in Ryan's wedding in August. Ryan and some of his family had stopped by the house so that Silas could try on his wedding duds:) He looked super cute in them by the way. Ryan is the oldest son of the Stuckey's, a family in our church who has been like family to us. The Lord has used them in countless ways to be a blessing and encouragement to us and we look forward to celebrating this special time with them this summer.

Congratulations Ryan!

A Brand New Bike

This summer Silas had outgrown his tricycle and was ready for a big boy bike. We checked Craig's list and kept our eyes open for garage sales. A neighbor boy had outgrown his so his mom gave us the old bike--Silas was super excited to be able to keep up with Sara now and didn't that it was used and a little beat! However, we had asked our apartment manager before hand to keep his eyes open as tenants that are evicted from other apartment complexes tend to leave things behind. A few days later he called Matt and told him he found a bike. Come to find out, he had gone out and bought a brand new one from Walmart!! The really neat thing about it is we had just been to Walmart that weekend and I went to look at the little boy's bike--wishing we could buy Silas a NEW bike ourselves. The Lord quickly reminded me that Silas had been given a bike and even though it was used, I should just be grateful that we didn't have to purchase one. After all, Silas was perfectly content with his used bike and was just happy to have one. So, I walked away from the bike section determined to be content just as my 3 year old was. It was just days later that we heard from Joe, our apartment manager, telling us he had bought Silas a bike. When we came home and found his new bike on the porch I was rebuked again, as there sat the same exact bike I was looking at in Walmart! I don't know who was more excited, Silas or me!:) God has been so good to us, providing for our needs and giving us a lot of our wants as well! Our neighbors are unbelievers and we have tried to be a good testimony to them as well as have frequent fellowship. We pray God will work in their hearts and draw them to Himself. Their kindness to us was a huge blessing and it was humbling to see God work in such a specific and unique way!

We love you daddy!

I am convinced my kids have the best daddy ever--or maybe it's that I have the greatest husband--Either way, we are blessed to have Matt in our lives and so thankful for him. Somehow between the busy schedule of working full-time and going to school full-time, he manages to make time for his children. Whether it's reading them books, giving them baths, playing with them outside, praying with them, putting them to bed, whatever time my children have with their daddy, they are better because of it. I am so thankful for all that Matt does with our kids.

I love you Matt-Have a wonderful Father's Day!

Pink Eye

I know, I know, these pictures are gross, but I posted them anyway. . .Ezekiel got pink eye from Silas and ended up with the worst of it. We headed out to run errands one weekend, and by the time we got to Target his eye was covered with gross, green goop! So, after our Target excursion, we took Ezekiel to the doctor and got him some drops. It cleared up pretty quick--I just felt bad for the little guy when he couldn't even open his eyes. . . what a way to start out his first month of life!

'Cause he's cute!
