Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard
Two weeks ago we took Sara and Silas to the apple orchard. This is the second year we have gone to this orchard and it is a good time for us as a family. I always loved going to pick apples with my family when I was younger and wanted to start the tradition with my own family. It is a nice break for Matt in the midst of his busy season of coaching, and the kids love it. This year it was freezing! We bundled the kids up in winter coats, hats, mittens and several layers. They did well despite the cold weather. We had a good time together as a family. I am in the midst of posting more pictures but blogger isn't letting me add anymore, so here is what I have for now!

Slip-Face
For those of you who don't know this already, Silas sucks on a piece of silk to fall asleep. He would NOT take a pacifier when he was a baby-I stumbled across the "silky" idea when he got my slip after church one Sunday. He laid on my bed perfectly content with my slip ( a little strange I know, but you moms out there understand the NEED for your child to take a good nap). Anyway, we went to Joanne Fabric and bought a yard of silk that we cut into several squares for naps and bedtime. He sleeps great!

Not a care in the world
Both of my children LOVE being outside. Sara would probably stay out all day if I let her. She did great on the trip to NBBC and loved having all the wide open space to play. We went to the swings every day we were there and sometimes more than once a day. When the swings and the slide weren't so new and exciting anymore, Sara and Silas would play in the rocks. I love that kids are so entertained by the simple things.
