So, we prepped the kids ahead of time, "Bumpa and Nina are old, there bodies are fragile, they are your elders, be careful, be polite, no carrying on, etc. . ." All this before we saw them at their care facility. So into the common area come Matt's grandparents and we prompt Sara and Silas to say hello and give hugs. Both of them obey, but in the midst of it, Silas, who by nature is our more aggressive and much more lovey kid, eagerly greets "nina" in her wheel chair by springing forward with a hug and hitting his head into her face! Now, for those of you who know Silas, you know the size of his head--it's a over-sized melon, and getting hit in the mouth with anyone's head hurts let alone HIS head on poor grandma's face! OUCH! What a way to start out our visit with their great grandparents.
