Matt had a super busy week last week with school. . .I write that and think, "it's always busy!" But, this week was research and writing week which means, lots of studying for midterms and finishing up work from his winter course. Sara has REALLY been missing daddy lately asking all the time why he can't be home with us, wondering when he is coming home, crying when he leaves, etc. It's been hard to see that--especially for Matt! We knew this would be our last weekend with just the four of us together and with Matt's mid-terms behind him we decided to do something special with the kids before the baby comes and life changes dramatically for all of us--again! We headed to Red Robin to use Sara's free birthday kid's meal and then took the kids bowling for the first time. It was such a fun night together, and hopefully one they will remember for a while!!
So here are the most recent and probably the last of the "belly" shots we will be taking. It's hard to believe that in just a few short days, this little guy will be in my arms and out of my belly!
These are just a handful of pictures from Sara's butterfly birthday party. . .there are more on my facebook if anyone is interested. I am simply trying to get this blog caught up by Wednesday, when Baby Tolosa will arrive.
It's not fun being far from family and missing out on exciting events like the birth of your sister's first child. Katie kept me posted on Janelle's labor and progress as much as possible, and has been waiting to see pictures of her new nephew. Tonight when Beth Stamper and I went to see Janelle and Malachi, we took some pictures for Aunt Katie to see. Beth's blog has pictures as well and hers turned out better, so you will have to check out her blog too. Katie, these are for you!:)
Well, we have a plan. Wednesday morning, April 2nd, we are headed to the hospital to be induced. I am measuring smaller than the doctor would like, and with the CMV and the plan to induce anyway, my doctor decided sooner was better than later. Matt just finished his research and writing days plus his midterms, so that is behind us now. I will still go in for my normal Monday morning visit to the perinatalogist even though I am sure I will not receive any new information from that appointment. So, Baby Tolosa will be here in just five short days! It's been a whirlwind these last few weeks and I am trying to get all the last minute "stuff" in order and ready before we head to the hospital. We have child-care set up and plenty of friends who have offered to help if needed. Now I just need to get this blog updated so it is all ready for pictures of our newest addition!
Our church always has a beautiful arrangment of flowers on the platform every Easter. I told Matt to meet me up front so we could try to get some pictures of the kids after the service. He got stopped by someone and got stuck talking, and since Silas was still pretty grumpy after church, he decided to stay with daddy. So, Sara and I headed to the auditorium to wait. In the meantime I took some pictures of just her. She was posing for all of them, trying to get her little self into position for each picture. I was just glad ONE of our kids was in the mood to take pictures!
By this time we were BOTH laughing at her "drama" of modeling.
Trying to get a good picture of the two of us--grouchy Silas and Matt had gone to hang the coats up, so I took a bunch of "self-taken" pics of us. . .this was the best one.
A little happier after some breakfast, but still not in the mood for pictures.
