Everyday Life

Since Ezekiel was about 6 months old we have had regular visits from Early Intervention through our local school district. The deaf and hard of hearing teacher and the speech/language pathologist, make regular visits to our home every other week. They give me different ways to help Ezekiel with language skills at home, and offer resource options for deaf and hard of hearing children. Right now we are working on using very specific words and ASL signs with Ezekiel--words that we use with him throughout the day and on a regular basis. We have taken pictures of him with these things to help him associate the word with the ASL sign. He has his own "book of words" now and we have these pictures up around the house as well. Here are a few we have done so far.
