Well, we made it! Matt finished up his Master's program in May and it was time to celebrate! I surprised him by booking a room overnight at a hotel downtown, (Matt loves the city) and kidnapping him from work at lunch time. I was SO excited I actually pulled it off--he had NO idea!! This is the longest amount of time Matt and I have been away together without the kids (not counting the Sr. trip we chaperoned).
We headed downtown at noon on Friday, and returned Saturday evening at around 5:00. We went to Comedy Sportz Friday night, the Mill City Museum Saturday morning, and walked around Lake Calhoun that afternoon. We spent quite a bit of time in Uptown trying different restaurants and checking out the trendy shops.
A BIG Thank-you to the Stuckey's and the Calcamuggio's for keeping our kiddos for us. We had a great time!!
