Silas is fascinated by bugs. Sara loves to know the in's and out's about how everything works. They had captured a caterpillar a while ago and wanted to keep him to see if he would change into a butterfly, but long story short, it died. SO, one of the teens in our youth group brought Sara and Silas two caterpillars in a mason jar all set up with milkweed and one of them already in his chrysalis. The kids thought it was great! So, we "photo-journaled" our caterpillars' transformations from each stage until we released them. The kids loved checking on the caterpillars progress each day. It was a neat experience for all of us as we watched our kids in awe of God's creation. I think Matt and I were just about as amazed as the kids were!

what a cool experience!
We're doing the same thing, too! It's so fun to watch the transformation! It truly is a miracle. We have two in chrysalis's right now. Fascinating!
What a great idea. Rose is pretty.
