February Picnic

The month of February started out with extremely cold temperatures here in Minnesota. One Saturday is got done to -13 with the windchill in the thirties! Since we didn't want to be out a lot with the kids we decided to try to do some fun things inside. I have childhood memories of "living room picnics" with my family and thought it would be a nice break from the routine. Sara and Silas thought it was great!

looks like the best kind of picnic - no bugs to carry away the food!! (or bite the picnickers!)

What great fun! I bet this picnic was as much fun for you as it was for the kids. It's nice to have a change of pace during these frigid days! Doesn't it seem like winter is lasting forever this year?

Necessity is the mother of invention right? And why does a picnic dinner allways seem so much easier to clean up? Remember doing this at my house downstairs for lunch to keep the kids out of our way? Such fun!
